FBC COMMUNITY MINISTRIES

MEETING HUMAN NEEDS IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

And if anyone gives a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is My disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward."

OUR MINISTRIES

CARING CENTER

The Caring Center provides services to individuals in need of spiritual, physical, and emotional support in the name of Jesus. Each week the Caring Center provides food, clothing, household items, furniture, and financial assistance to those in need.

TUTORING PROGRAM

The Tutoring Program seeks to make a difference in the lives of children who live below the poverty level. We adhere to the fact that every child can learn if there is an adult who cares. Our goal is to challenge students to enjoy learning and come to know Jesus Christ.

CHILDREN'S LEARNING CENTER

The Children's Learning Center is a licensed childcare center that seeks to serve families in our community with high quality, affordable, Christ-centered childcare. This ministry provides a safe, loving environment through which children are able to thrive and develop.

NEHEMIAH PROGRAM

A Christian community development program that envisions a community that embraces the transforming love of Jesus. We partner with God’s people to build bridges across racial, socio-economic, and spiritual barriers. Our goal is to make sure spiritual needs are met through a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

THE MASTER'S GARDEN

The Master’s Garden is a community garden in the Chisholm area that not only provides residents with opportunities to provide healthy food choices for their families, it is also a resource to schools in the area for children to learn about gardening and nutrition. There are many opportunities in the Master's Garden!

INTERNATIONAL MINISTRY

International programs are the fastest growing segment of our Community Ministries with hundreds of friends gathered five days a week (Sunday through Thursday) to fellowship, practice English language and writing skills, and learn American citizenship skills.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Our support groups are designed to equip individuals and/or families to cope with painful life situations in a Christ-centered, safe, and confidential environment. The group facilitators are trained or professional therapists who volunteer their time and expertise.

PRISON MINISTRY

The Prison Ministry mission is to be “Jesus with skin on” to prisoners, families of prisoners, and those either going to or getting out of prison; all while honoring victims of crimes and those who work in our criminal justice system. There are a variety of opportunities in this ministry.

FUN FACT: My claim to fame is that I had a horrible bloody nose while waiting on a special tour of the White House with my High School SS teacher. Her husband was chief of military protocol and she led a ladies Bible study that included most of the First Ladies since Kennedy. I bled all over the fancy gold carpet in the private part of the White House and earned a trip to the President’s personal physician.
