Stewardship

To Our First Baptist Family,

Our family has been given the extraordinary opportunity to lead our church through this year’s Stewardship Commitment Season. As defined in Webster’s dictionary, the word “stewardship” means, “the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one’s care.” God has blessed each of us abundantly and calls us to view these blessings as His, not ours. Everything we possess, from our relationships and resources to our expertise and influence, is given to us with the sacred responsibility of stewarding these temporary gifts for God’s glory. So, how will we respond?

1 John 3:16 says, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us.” God loves us beyond measure! Many people in our community and across the globe don’t know Jesus as their Lord and Savior; our work is not finished. As we pray and submit our commitment, let’s do so knowing that God’s First Baptist Family is actively pursuing the Great Commission as we seek to bring them in, build them up, and send them out.

Our Church, as wise and faithful stewards, carefully budgets the use of God’s resources. Our 2019 Church budget is $6,825,000. These resources will carry out God’s mission of: providing a place to corporately worship our Savior and to fellowship with other believers; teaching the commands of Jesus Christ and making disciples for God’s Kingdom who seek to help others follow Jesus.

Please mark your calendar and plan to be a part of the following worship opportunities:

November 4  //  Prove the Tithe Sunday
Everyone brings a joyful offering to the Lord.

November 11  //  Commitment Sunday
Everyone returns commitment card and brings canned goods for our Caring Center.

November 18  //  Victory Sunday & Ministry Visitation
We celebrate the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ by serving His purpose of sharing and caring for others.

May our First Baptist family glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by being faithful stewards of everything He has entrusted to us!
