Founded in 1888, Woman’s Missionary Union is an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist Convention that seeks to equip adults, youth, children and preschoolers with missions education to become radically involved in the mission of God. Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, WMU is a nonprofit organization that offers an array of missions resources including conferences, ministry ideas and models, volunteer opportunities, curriculum for age-level organizations, leadership training, books and more. WMU was first organized by the women of FBC in 1889. The Women’s Missionary Union challenges Christian believers to understand and be involved in the mission of God through ministry and witness, develop missions awareness, support mission work through prayer and giving and nurture lifestyles that reflect commitment and obedience to the Great Commission. WMU involves ongoing mission opportunities for preschoolers to adults.
Mission Friends is for children ages 3 to 6. This group is sponsored by the Women's Missionary Union and provides mission education for preschoolers. These sessions provide a hands-on missions experience for our preschoolers and helps them begin to learn about God and His love, and about becoming one of God's "helpers" here on earth.

Girls in Action is Women's Missionary Union organization for girls in the first through sixth grade. Girls learn what missionaries do, pray for missionaries and their work, discover how they can help other people, save and give money to help tell other people about Jesus, learn about people around the world, and have fun with friends.

Royal Ambassadors is a missions discipleship organization for boys in the first through sixth grades. RAs seek to build Biblical character in boys through involvement in mission activities and the development of virtues. Since its beginning in 1908, RA ministries have helped boys grow spiritually, physically, mentally and in relationships with others.

Women on Mission© is a WMU ministry organization for women. WOM members have opportunities for continuing missions education and involvement through groups that focus on Bible study, prayer, mission action, and/or missions awareness. There are opportunities for witnessing and ministering in the community and around the world.
