"Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together."
— Psalm 34:3 (ESV)
For more than 25 years, Christy Nockels has been leading God’s people in worship. The daughter of an Oklahoma pastor, she’s been writing songs and singing in the church since she was a girl. She and her husband Nathan formed the duo Watermark in the late 1990s, recording seven #1 radio singles and touring nationwide before laying that chapter down for the sake of their family. For two decades after, Christy and Nathan wrote and led for the Passion Movement — Christy’s voice on songs like “Waiting Here For You,” and her songwriting woven into church anthems like “Lord, I Need You” and “Healing is in Your Hands.”
Today, Christy records on Keeper’s Branch Records, the independent label she and Nathan founded, and hosts The Glorious in the Mundane — a podcast intentionally focused on helping women in every season find the wonder of God in the here and now. That same heart is what she’ll bring to the Stakely Sanctuary on August 27.
