FBC Guidelines for Re-Gathering

Letter from Pastor Mark (August 13, 2021)

Church Family,

Thank you for your continued prayers, graciousness, and encouragement as we continue to weather this COVID fog. Let’s also continue praying earnestly for our dear brothers and sisters on the frontlines of this fight. 

With the rising number of COVID cases and hospitalizations in our city, allow me to offer a few encouraging reminders. 

On Sundays

• If you are not feeling well, please enjoy worshipping from home at either 8:30 am or 11 am. Both are livestreamed and will continue to be livestreamed for the foreseeable future. As much as we want to see you here on campus, please utilize those wonderful online options if you are not feeling well or have health concerns. 
• If you would like to worship with more spacing, join the 11a worship service, as there is more space and seating available at that service. At 8:30a, Stakely Sanctuary will be reopened as a more spacious environment to enjoy the livestream but still be on-campus.
• Masks will be optional for worship but are available at entrance doors for you. 
• Hand sanitizer is available throughout the church and is encouraged.

On Wednesdays

• We will continue livestreaming our prayer meeting on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm
• Every night, our 8:30 pm Zoom prayer call is offered and welcomes everyone.  

This Sunday is promotion Sunday and the start of discipleship classes, youth choirs, Mission Friends, RAs, and GAs, as well as Wednesday night children’s choirs, adult discipleship, Powerhouse, and more. These are such good opportunities for every age range to engage in discipleship, and I hope you’ll plug in and join in! In addition, we will offer some of the adult discipleship classes via Zoom. Check the church website for more details and changes.

We’ll evaluate week to week for any changes to our gatherings but encourage you to be safe and wise as we look forward to being together.

As I’ve heard it said many times and, in many ways, we need Jesus, and we need each other. Know that you are loved and appreciated. Let’s keep running this race together, stirring each other towards love!
