I am so looking forward to this Sunday as we gather to worship the Lord and celebrate our moms. All of us owe a debt of gratitude as we wouldn’t be here without our moms.
This Sunday, we continue slowly walking back into normalcy. I’ve been so thankful to watch the number of COVID-19 cases in Montgomery continue to go downward. The vaccine clinics in Montgomery have shots readily available to those who wish to receive them. I received my second shot this week and am thankful to move forward!
In light of this, as well as the expiration of our city’s mask ordinance, we will encourage those in attendance to wear their mask but no longer require them. Continue being cautious, gracious, and loving as you have these past many months. As always, if you don’t feel well, please worship at home. We’ll continue offering Zoom and online opportunities for all that we can.
This Sunday, for Mother’s Day, we’ll also have Stakely Sanctuary open at 8:30 for overflow. It’s a beautiful place to worship. We will also open up the two side wing sections of the main level of the sanctuary that will not be roped off for social distancing. The rest of the sanctuary will continue to have ropes for every other pew.
I know our 8:30 has been quite crowded the past few weeks, with many struggling to find a seat. This is a blessed problem to have, but I would encourage you to worship at the 11:00 service if this is an option for you. There is plenty of room available then.
As always, I look forward to worshipping together with you. It’s a joy to share our Scripture memory, study God’s Word, and collectively hear great spiritual truths sung together each week.
Don’t forget to review the summer calendar for exciting opportunities such as in-person VBS, Kids Kamp, Youth Camp, and choir tours.
I look forward to seeing you Sunday!
