Day 159 Update:

🟢  Scaffolding in Main Sanctuary is slowly coming down as painting is moving from top to bottom. The attic and interstitial space has been cleared for soot. Every surface is being repainted in the sanctuary. It’s still unreal.

🟢  Once scaffolding is down, we can begin replacing carpet, reinstalling equipment, and preparing for the pews to be delivered. We believe those should arrive by mid-May.

🟢 Electronics have all been meticulously hand cleaned and ready for reinstall.

🟢 Every item in every classroom in the building has been inventoried and inspected—consider the magnitude of that task! We are in process of replacing a large amount of classroom items.

🟢 Carpet for half of the building (Sanctuary, office space, and hallway by reception) is arriving and will be installed. We will wait to install new carpet in Stakely until we have returned back to Main Sanctuary.

🟢 Carpet for education space outside of Main Sanctuary should arrive by the first of April (pray it arrives on time). It’ll be installed and the final coat of paint in those rooms put on.

🟢 The reception area is coming along nicely and should be completed once the third floor of Stakely’s carpet is replaced. We will get the temporary walls down at that time. Those two projects should finish around the same time.

It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly six months since this has all happened. I never imagined we’d still be here. COVID has severely impacted timetables of materials and cleaning has been far more involved than I could have guessed. BUT, it looks like an end is in sight in the next few months. Thank you for praying. Thank you for your encouragement. We’re thankful for the space that we do have!

And continue praying for Alice — that her heart may open to the good news of Jesus and would know the grace of our gracious God.
