Jackie Swan Bible Study


Description:
This group of approximately 35 active members meets on the 2nd Thursday from September through May at 10:30 AM for sewing; 12:00 PM for sack lunch and business meeting, and 12:30 PM for Bible study in room 413 (Senior Adult Center). The facilitators are Sara Jane Lyon (277.7240) and Beppy Tiller (263.9491).

Namesake:
Jackie Swan is a former International Mission Board Missionary to Mexico, who, along with her family, resided in the First Baptist Montgomery Missionary House at the time this group was established. Jackie was a member of our group.

Purpose:
To sew hand-smoked gowns for stillborn premature babies, as a ministry to their families. These gowns are distributed by the Chaplains at Baptist Medical Center South; and to have an in-depth Bible study.
