Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Baptism is one of the most important parts of the Christian life, because Christ Himself commanded that we be baptized. (Read Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3-4). It is not a Baptist command, but is a command of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “Whosoever shall keep even the least of His commandments shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Furthermore, Jesus Christ Himself said that if we love Him we will keep His commandments (John 14:15). Throughout the New Testament men, women, boys and girls joyfully obeyed the command of Christ and were happily baptized as soon as they received the Gift of Eternal Life.
